Lights on the River has enjoyed 2 years of phenomenal growth from a modest beginning. And this year it looks like it will get even more support from the community making it triple the size it started as.
Although, due to this growth, Lights on the River will be setting this Saturday, December 1st, as the deadline to register for a display in this year’s event. “We are starting to run short on space, and rather than shrink the display areas too small, we want to be sure each display has enough room to stand out and not blend into the next display.” said Stephanie Wilhelm, Lights on the River board member. If you would like to put a display into this year’s event, please contact Scott at 854-2657 or email@example.com, or Stephanie at 393-1796 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
This year’s event will benefit local St. Lawrence County food pantries including Canton Church & Community Program, Canton Neighborhood Center, Hammond Neighborhood Center, Heuvelton Food Pantry, Lisbon Food Pantry, Madrid’s Christian Fellowship Center – Alms of Love Pantry, Ogdensburg Neighborhood Center, Ogdensburg Salvation Army and the Waddington Family Resource Center.
If you would like to be a part of this year’s Lights on the River event, please contact Scott at 854-2657, Stephanie at 393-1796 or Amy at 528-5660. You can also find more information at their website at http://www.LightsOnTheRiver.org or on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/lightsontheriver.
